The official pension age of professional soldiers after 31 December 2012 is set at a minimum age of 55, with 25 years of work in the Polish Army and other armed forces (police, firemen, border guards, Internal Security Agency, etc.). Professional soldiers enlisted before 1 January 2012 may choose between either the old or the new scheme.
