Major Implications of the Reform: 

New: There is also the possibility to postpone the taking of unused prenatal rest when the new-born dies within the year after its birth. Henceforth, the mother retains her rights to postpone the prenatal rest if her child dies within the year after the birth.
The maximum length of maternity leave is 15 weeks for employees and the unemployed. New: there is a possible mandatory duration of nine weeks. The period of rest is 15 weeks for employees.
