Long-term Care

This section presents a collection of norms related to assistance for people who have lost some or all of their capacity to manage their daily activities for a prolonged period of time. It is important to note that this section is focused on reforms of long-term care services for the elderly (i.e., people aged 65+), and not on general long-term care regulations which also affect younger people with chronic diseases.

Here you will find standardised information about policy changes in this field over time. It is important to note, however, that our focus is on more far-reaching reforms. Information on smaller policy modifications, such as slight changes to benefits, may not be found in this collection.
